Evergreen! Evergreen!
The heart is green.
Filled with life and strength
No longer bound by contempt.
Oh how beautiful, powerful, magnificent
With glory and honor ever efficient.
He stepped into my life on a wonderful day
A day I was still wandering in darkness away.
Shame, guilt and sorrow bore my soul.
Grave anger, viciousness as that of an owl.
And now I could not even hold any foe.
Evergreen! Evergreen!
Oh how beautiful, how lovely thou art.
Thy kindness lights up my path.
In a way that makes darkness depart.
Forever your wonderful praises shall be in my mouth
Once I remember of days gone by
Where my active deeds and behaviours led me astray
To a town far away
Far from beyond the clouds!
A d’solate place where darkness roars loud.
Evergreen! Evergreen!
The heart is green!!
All is white, pure, crimson
Evergreen, a pardon for sin.
I met him
His physical manifestation did I not see
But he was there, not like a dream
And my darkness had to flee.
His countenance was of gold
As time of old
Which the prophets did speak of
The sacrifices were tough
But Christ straightened the rough
Evergreen! Evergreen!
Truly, all is green!
